BioFitSync Privacy Policy

Overview

BioFitSync helps you view fitness trends and synchronize supported health metrics to your secure cloud account. We are committed to data minimization, transparency, and user control.

Health Data We Collect from Health Connect

With your explicit permission, BioFitSync reads selected health and fitness records from Health Connect, including:

  • Step count
  • Heart rate
  • Sleep data
  • Heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Respiratory rate
  • Blood oxygen (SpO2)
  • Blood pressure

We only access data categories required to provide BioFitSync features. You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in system settings.

How We Use Your Data

We use your health data only to:

  • Enable fitness analysis and personalized insights inside BioFitSync
  • Sync your selected health data to your cloud account for backup and continuity
  • Display progress and trends across time ranges you choose
  • Provide reliability features such as sync status and conflict handling

We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling for ads, or data broker activity.

Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties unless you explicitly choose to, for example when you use an in-app sharing feature to share a workout summary.

If you initiate sharing, only the data needed for that action is shared. You can stop using optional sharing features at any time.

Cloud Storage and Security

Data synced by BioFitSync is stored using industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport (TLS) and access controls designed to limit access to authorized systems and personnel only. We monitor service health and apply security updates to help protect your information.

No system is 100% secure, but we are committed to maintaining reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational protections.

Retention and Deletion

We retain your health data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your BioFitSync account and associated stored data.

Revoking Health Connect permissions prevents future access from BioFitSync but does not automatically delete data already synced to your cloud account. You may request deletion of previously synced records through support.

Your Controls and Choices

  • Grant or revoke Health Connect permissions at any time
  • Choose what to sync and what to keep local-only when available
  • Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support
  • Control optional sharing features on an action-by-action basis

Children's Privacy

BioFitSync is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). If you believe a child provided personal data without proper consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or compliance changes, including Health Connect and Google Play requirements. We will post the latest version with a revised effective date on this page.
